Insulated Conservatory Roofing Questions

Insulated Conservatory Roofing Questions

Will it take long?
No. Usually a couple of hours to do an in-depth survey and a day to install.

Will I have to empty my conservatory?
Usually you will not need to. In some situations where a lot of inside work needs doing you may prefer to move some of your furniture out of your conservatory.

Is an insulated conservatory roof expensive?
Not considering the life-long return and the more use you will get out of your conservatory.
Also, compared to many alternative roof modifications, a Thermotec Insulated Roof is much more cost effective.

Will I get less light into the conservatory?
You will undoubtedly get less direct sunlight when the sun is directly above but you will not get less daylight into the conservatory because of the amount of glass that make up the sides. The key benefit is that you will get far less glare from the overhead sun and be able to enjoy the conservatory more than you ever did before.

Will my roof framework and structure need altering?
Extremely unlikely. In the majority of cases we will be able to install a Thermotec roof without the need for any structural alteration to your conservatory or sun-lounge. This is because our system is compatible with all conservatories that have a rafter roof system, whether it is constructed from Timber, Aluminium or PVC-u. What this means to you is that it keeps the costs down and minimises disruption.

Do you have Proof it actually keeps heat in?
Yes: Right here.

I have had an insulated too installed by ‘Roof Revive’, is my roof compatible with Thermotec Panels?
Sadly, no. A batten and plaster ceiling does more harm than good. Here’s a more detailed answer about Roof Revive conservatory ceilings.
